Karma Dead Key Fob Help

Getting into Your Karma

Retrieving the mechanical key

Well, not too many of these on the road, in fact, the original company, Fisker, went bust but is being resurrected as Karma, but for this vehicle, press the button on the reverse of the key fob (remote control or ‘clicker’) and slide the emergency key blade free. Insert the key into the lock located beneath the passenger side door handle. This will set off the vehicle’s alarm. Press the Start / Stop button to deactivate (see the emergency start procedure below if the alarm is not deactivated). See your owners manual for illustrations to get in and start your vehicle. Sorry, Karma is not included in our Dead Key FOB App.

Starting Your Karma

To activate the push button ignition in your Karma, place the key fob against the side panel near the driver’s left foot with the buttons facing the pedals. The panel is marked. The vehicle will recognize the key and display a message on the instrument panel. Hold the key fob against the panel until you have depressed the brake pedal and the Start / Stop button. This puts the vehicle in drive mode.

Note: If you have made an attempt to start the vehicle without success, there may be residual pressure in the brake system and a new warning light may appear (left) or text Engine Start Operation Indicatormessage to Step on the Brake. Press the brake pedal very, very hard when trying to start the vehicle again to be sure that the release switch behind the pedal is engaged. Check out this page for more!
