e-SAVE
This is an e-SAVE function indicator symbol. This is an option in Vauxhall hybrid models. When active, the indicator appears as a lightning bolt in an arrowed circle in blue. The function allows electricity to be stored for use when needed, for instance when passing through an urban area or areas reserved for electric vehicles.
- Before continuing, is this truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
- Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!
e-SAVE can be set to 6 miles or 12 miles or Max. The electric drive mode switches to Hybrid drive mode as soon as the battery drops to the set range. If e-SAVE is not set, the battery range will drop to zero and switch to Hybrid mode, where the gas engine kicks in.
e-SAVE Max leaves the battery fully charged and runs the vehicle with the gasoline engine only. All e-SAVE modes reserves some or all of the battery for use in emission-free blue-light driving often found in European cities.
