Electronic Differential
This is an Electronic Differential Fault indicator symbol. Seen as the abbreviation E-DIFF, it indicates a fault in the electronic limited-slip differential, which has an electrically engaged clutch on the differential.
- Before continuing, is one of these truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
- Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!
E-DIFF utilizes electronic sensors and controls to actively and dynamically distribute torque between the drive wheels. This allows for more precise and rapid adjustments to optimize traction and handling in various driving conditions.
As an electronic system, a restart of the vehicle may reset the differential. If the problem remains, see a qualified service shop for repairs.
