We spotted an Acura ADX model on the road a few days ago, and it was one we were not aware of. So, a little digging and we find that it is new for 2025. So, this prompts a check of symbols and key fobs.
First, it uses the driver’s door handle currently in use in the Honda Civic and the Acura Integra. It hides the key hole, but makes it easily access by simply pulling the door handle out (right). Once out the mechanical key can used to lock or unlock the car in the event of a dead key fob battery.
Unlocking this way does set off the alarm, however.
We’ve updated the Honda/Acura key fob page to include the ADX. That page can be seen here.
We noted as well that Acura lists owner’s manuals for some 2026 models. So, we will be updating the Acura pages next — assuming we ever get past the Smart symbols page.
