Acura symbols review offers a surprise

A review of Acura symbols for 2026 found a single new systems requiring an addition. That was a Dynamic Lift Mode Indicator, which we posted yesterday.

Make no mistake — adding but a single symbol for a model year is very, very unusual. We generally add anywhere from three to as many as 15 or more 2new systems.

As vehicles are modernized, car makers feel compelled to add new technology constantly. And these new systems result in at least one new symbol or indicator per system, usually with multiple colors.

We will end up adding a few symbols primarily related to drive modes in addition to the lift mode indicator (right).

As we did with the Honda review, we’ll note that are aware that the company is readying new electric models created in house, rather than with General Motors, and that this may be where the engineering “energy” is being spent.

In fact, there is no indication that the ZDX EV was updated at all in 2025 or 2026.

If the model is replaced later this year or in 2027, there will likely be a slew of new symbols to add…
