While going through a Consumer Reports piece on recalls they noted a case that required four returns to the dealer to be finally fixed properly. This brought to mind that there seemed to have been a number of Ford recalls in the last few weeks that were repeats.
Sure enough, a review of NHTSA recalls found four separate repeated recalls since August 1st. On top of those are an additional six new recalls. Here they are:
Automatic window reversals prevent what can be serious injuries if a window closes on person or pet, and the loss of power brake assist needs no further explanation.
New recalls include:
Their dealer network will busy for some time.
For the record, the recall that needed four trips to the dealer involved some Nissan Altima models to fix a faulty hood latch. Latch failures can lead to the vehicle’s hood flying open while driving. Clearly a big problem.
