Two additions made to Volvo back-up start options

Continuing our update of Volvo back-up start and open processes results in the addition of two new options.

With the introduction of the EX30 and EX90 electric vehicle (EV) models comes some interesting and disturbing developments. We discussed the disturbing in a previous post, as there is no longer a mechanical key and key cylinder available. Getting inside in the event of a dead start battery will be a chore at best.

The vehicles come with a key card as well, which can be used the start the cars by placing them flat on the reader/charger.

The addition of two additional Volvo back-up charge options has also convinced us that separating Volvo and Polestar is now warranted. The page is now quite messy.

The Volvo back-up start page, which for the time being includes Polestar models as well, can be seen here.
