Toyota symbols review adds only four new entries

A full 2026 review of Toyota symbols found on instrument panels adds but four new entries. Plus, only one new symbol was added to our database.

Stabilizer disconnect indicatorThat one caught us by surprise as well, since some Toyota models were already using another symbol version for the same system. It is a stabilizer disconnect indicator, seen to the left, used when the vehicles are off road. Disconnecting the front stabilizer allows for increased front wheel articulation to improve capability and comfort on off-road terrain.

rear differential lockCenter differential lockAlso added were two of three symbols we recently created for Lexus, axle lock indicators. Toyota 4-wheel drive models have access only to the center and rear axle lock options, while Lexus adds a front axle lock option.

This remains a puzzle to use as the symbols shown that include a padlock image will flash in the event of a malfunction. The duplicates the function of axle lock malfunction indicators already in use in the same models.
