Volvo symbols update adds over 20 indicators

We have at last finalized a Volvo symbols update, and the new EX30 electric vehicle account for nearly all of the 21 new entries now found on the page. The total number is approaching, but not yet exceeding, 100.

A full 15 indicators are new to our collection.

Notable additions include an Evasive Maneuver Indicator (left). It is from a system shared by Polestar that can enhance the steering response in an emergency or even perform a maneuver on its own if the driver does not react.

For reasons only the companies know, the two do not share the same indicator.

Another notable symbol is from an Interior Presence Detection System, which monitors the use of seats and seat belts and doors to alert a driver if someone or something has been left behind when the driver exits the vehicle. The symbol is used to note that it has been turned off.
