Jeep re-absorbs Wagoneer prompting several site changes

Wagoneer

Jeep has ended its three-year quest to separate the Wagoneer model in order to create a new, high end lineup. The company ended this quest a year ago, and we’ve been frankly slow to adjust the website.

We now have removed the Wagoneer symbols page, doing a complete scan of both the Jeep and Wagoneer pages to ensure that all relevant symbols and indicators re represented.

This review necessitated a single addition to the Jeep page — a gray scale symbol for night vison (right). It indicates that the system is turned on but has not detected anything in infrared light.

Next up, we rolled the Wagoneer open and start pages into the Jeep counterparts. Starting the vehicles are identical beginning in 2020, so no changes were needed.

However, opening the Wagoneer requires a little more finesse that all other Jeep models, so we rolled the instructions into the Jeep page (right).

Finally, links to the now deleted pages were deleted from the introductory pages for both dashboard symbols and open and start help.

We’ve also moved the full Jeep update to next on the calendar.

The Jeep symbols page is here and the open and start pages begin here.

We are not in the auto repair business, nor do we publish automotive service manuals. Nothing we include on these pages and posts has been reviewed, approved or authorized by any vehicle manufacturer.

Remember — only proper service and repair procedures will ensure the safe and reliable operation of your car. In addition, proper safety procedures and precautions, such as the use of safety goggles, the right tools and the equipment should be followed at all times to eliminate the possibility of personal injury or improper service which could damage the vehicle or compromise its safety.

Technology is always changing and what is current and accurate today may be literally out-of-date and inaccurate tomorrow. And when it comes to the current state of flux in the auto industry, nothing is more true.
