Kia video page separated from Hyundai, Genesis

Kia video page

We have been adding tables of contents to our manufacturer video pages, and when we got to the Hyundai, Kia and Genesis page it was clear that a Kia video page needed to stand alone.

These pages and videos exist to provide help for drivers who experience the loss of battery power in the key fob. Key fob batteries tend to last as little as six months and generally no longer than two years, at which point the fob will no longer allow you to unlock and open your doors or start your car.

These pages are here to help.

So, as it stands, we have a combined Hyundai and Genesis video page as well as a now separate Kia video page. Both have tables of contents.

Processes for Genesis models have remained quite stable but both Kia and Hyundai have added wrinkles in the unlock processes that required special attention and added videos.

There is some overlap, which is why they were together in the first place. So, the result is eight videos for Kia models and 13 for Hyundai and Genesis models, where there were originally 19 on the single page!

The new Kia video page is here, and the combined Hyundai and Genesis page is here.

The material on these pages is provided for information sharing purposes only and should not be used in lieu of an OEM service manual or factory authorized service procedure. We are not in the auto repair business, nor do we publish automotive service manuals. Nothing we include on these pages and posts has been reviewed, approved or authorized by any vehicle manufacturer.

Remember — only proper service and repair procedures will ensure the safe and reliable operation of your car. In addition, proper safety procedures and precautions, such as the use of safety goggles, the right tools and the equipment should be followed at all times to eliminate the possibility of personal injury or improper service which could damage the vehicle or compromise its safety.

Technology is always changing and what is current and accurate today may be literally out-of-date and inaccurate tomorrow. And when it comes to the current state of flux in the auto industry, nothing is more true.
