Maximum payload exceeded indicators

Maximum payload

Maximum load indicatorThis is a Maximum Payload Exceeded Indicator symbol found in some Jeep vehicles. If seen, it indicates that the vehicle’s light indicates that automatic load leveling through the Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system cannot operate because the maximum payload may have been exceeded, or load leveling cannot be achieved at the current ride height.

  • Before continuing, is one of these truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
  • Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!

The Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system, under normal circumstances, provides full time load leveling capability along with the benefit of vehicle height adjustment by a dashboard-mounted toggle switch. The vehicle will automatically raise and lower the ride height to adapt to the appropriate driving conditions.

Strangely, all enabling or disabling of air suspension features must be done through the vehicle’s Uconnect touchscreen radio.

Air suspension protection indicatorThis has previously been seen as an Air Suspension Payload Protection Indicator. As before, it will be on when the maximum payload may has been or is close to being exceeded or load leveling cannot be achieved at its current ride height. Protection mode will automatically be selected in order to protect the air suspension system.

The images are that of a pick up truck or SUV with both up and down arrows and a line drawn through showing the system is unavailable for adjustment.
