A complete review of Ram symbols adds 10 entries

Ram symbols

We’ve completed a complete review of 2026 models and 10 entries have been added to the Ram symbols page. Fully half of them needed to be created.

Among the latest entries are a pair of Swivel Seat Position or Fault indicators. The first, in yellow/amber/orange, will be seen if a fault is present in the system and it is not possible to check the correct position of the seats. The second, in red, will be seen if one or both of the seats are not locked in the forward facing position.

Next up are a pair of red and yellow/amber/orange Electronic Throttle indicators, a new system now added to Ram. They will be seen if there is a problem in the throttle control system and color does not define the problem or its severity.

As an electronic system, it can sometimes be reset by restarting the car, much or exactly like re-booting a computer.

These also resulted in the addition of several rows of red and alternate yellow/amber/orange indicators.

Two additional black and white images are added as well. One that indicates that an Automatic Speed Limiter system is ready, and another that is seen if the vehicle is about to exceed a set speed.

Our Ram symbols page with its 123 entries can be seen here.

We are not in the auto repair business, nor do we publish automotive service manuals. Nothing we include on these pages and posts has been reviewed, approved or authorized by any vehicle manufacturer.

Remember — only proper service and repair procedures will ensure the safe and reliable operation of your car. In addition, proper safety procedures and precautions, such as the use of safety goggles, the right tools and the equipment should be followed at all times to eliminate the possibility of personal injury or improper service which could damage the vehicle or compromise its safety.

Technology is always changing and what is current and accurate today may be literally out-of-date and inaccurate tomorrow. And when it comes to the current state of flux in the auto industry, nothing is more true.
