i-PEDAL Indicator

i-PEDAL

i-PEDAL indicatorThis is an i-PEDAL Indicator symbol. It is found in Genesis electric vehicles (EVs) and is part of the vehicle’s regenerative braking system. The symbol is seen in green when the i-PEDAL system is turned on.

  • Before continuing, is one of these truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
  • Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!

i-PEDAL assists the driver to accelerate, decelerate, and stop the vehicle with only the accelerator pedal. It is another iteration of one pedal driving in EVs. To turn on i-PEDAL, pull the left paddle shifter once when the regenerative braking level is at 3. The i-PEDAL symbol is then seen in the instrument cluster.

To turn off i-PEDAL, pull the right paddle shifter once while the function is ON. Otherwise, shift the gear to reverse then to drive while the function is on. This also turns off i-PEDAL regenerative braking level is set to 3.

Note that i-PEDAL is not available while the smart regeneration system is on. The smart regeneration system recognizes vehicle-to-vehicle distance, speed and road gradient, and controls the regenerative braking level while coasting.

To turn off the smart regeneration system, pull and hold the right paddle shifter for over a second. When the smart regen system is on, the word AUTO appears in the instrument cluster, also in green. It does not have its own symbol.
