We have completed new Rear and Side Collision Warning Indicator pages. These warning symbols had initially been added to the Front Collision Warnings, as the systems are intimately related.
However, as with too many of our symbols pages, it had become overcrowded with innumerable symbol variations. Individual auto manufacturers insist on creating their own versions of warning lights and symbols and ignoring the option to use preexisting telltales.
This of course leads us to anticipate that the same issue will rear its head with rear and side collision systems as well over time. For the moment, there are but three indicators seen on the Side Collision Warning Indicators page (right) and but two on the Rear Collision Warning Indicators page (above right).
As more and more manufacturers employ the additional resources, they are very likely to swell these numbers considerably.
