A full review of 2025 and 2026 models results in 13 new indicators added to the GMC symbols page. Most of the additions come from the latest Hummer models.

The additions bring the page’s indicator count to 94. It’s bound to exceed 100 in another year.

King crab modeCrab walk indicatorThe most interesting one is an advance in the Hummer CrabWalk (right) that GMC call King Crab! The symbol itself (far right) is still a crab, but a fiercer-looking crab.

King Crab mode allows the driver to turn the rear wheels at a greater angle than the front wheels. In fact, The rear wheels steer in the opposite direction as the front wheels and can be engaged at a higher vehicle speed. See more on CrabWalk and King Crab here.

Max power mode indicatorAnother very interesting addition is found in the Sienna EV, and its a Max Power mode (right), which allows for maximum propulsion and is intended for short duration use. The symbol looks for all the world to be Thor’s Hammer. Even the lightning bolt fits!

Most of the rest bring GMC in line with other General Motors Corp. offerings related to lane keeping and centering.
