A thorough review of 2026 models results in the addition of 16 new warning lights and indicators to the Hyundai symbols page. Most were the result of updated systems in the Ioniq 9, introduced in the 2026 model year.

The page now holds over 100 entries. However, only two of the additions needed to be created. The vast majority of new entries were color additions or changes that used pre-existing symbols.

Emergency steering warningFor instance, Hyundai now includes a red version of the Emergency Steering Indicator (right), where it previously only used the yellow/amber/orange fault warning.

The red indicator is used when the system is operating. Emergency steering is part of Hyundai‘s Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system.
