More drive modes from Ford prompts major page change

An ongoing review of symbols for 2026 Ford models will require the addition of another half dozen indicators for drive modes, further swelling an already bloated page.

This prompted an idea. Over time, a separate drive mode page will be created for each automobile manufacturer. Its the only way, and Ford leads the way.

It will be a major change that will take months to completer, but will be well worth the effort. The current drive mode page already holds nearly 70 different indicators and a separate “special” drive mode page for 4-wheel drive vehicles has another 25.

Further, Ford had already forced the creation of a G.O.A.T. mode page, with another 15 indicators. The fact that it presented as a separate system is what allowed the separate page.

The Ford symbols page is here, links to the new page. The other pages mentioned are previously linked.

The original drive mode page remains, but will slowly be eaten away into separate manufacturer pages.

General Motors will be next.
