Currently there is not an at home charge option for my Kia Niro, and I noted two Level 3 ChargePoint chargers set up at my local Kia store where I was ordering a part.
No one in the store knew what it cost was per kilowatt hour (kWh) but it would save me a trip to Electrify America several miles away.
I made the trip anyway and the why is to the right and its the only receipt available. They didn’t have the courtesy to send a detailed receipt via email or text.
What you see is a bill for $23 for 7 kWh and 27 miles of range. That’s damn near a dollar a mile or worse $3.29 per kWh!
Fortunately I noticed the dollar run up quickly enough to avoid what would have been a massive charge. As I was unplugging I saw that the costs were posted in relatively small print on the “pump” that was $0.79 kWh and included per minute charges!
The Niro charges pretty slowly. In any case, I clearly should have looked more closely at first and recommend you do the same at an unfamiliar charging station.
An internet search finds that the company adds service fees anywhere from $0.25 to $0.99 depending on account and/or guest status supposedly per session, but search results included Reddit users who have also complained about high costs from the company.
I will be deleting the ChargePoint account that was just opened.

Ripped off by ChargePoint: check the costs first before charging new!
