Adaptive cruise control not decelerating sufficiently indicator

Decelerating

Step on the brake indicatorThis is an Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Not Decelerating Sufficiently Indicator symbol. It is a recycled symbol, now seen in red, usually used to indicate that the brake pedal must be pressed to change gears, but in a different color.

  • Before continuing, is one of these truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
  • Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!

As a part of the ACC, it is in fact a warning to step on the brake pedal. The indicator would appear while in adaptive mode in a situation where the vehicle would be gaining on another vehicle ahead but cannot slow down enough without intervention.

Shift Lock IndicatorNote again that this symbol is more commonly seen in yellow/amber/orange (right), again as a shift lock indicator. See more here.
