These are Smart Pilot Assist indicator symbols. They are part of Mercedes-Benz Smart vehicles and are intimately connected to the Adaptive Cruise Control system. Smart pilot can control the vehicle speed according to the set vehicle speed and the inter-vehicle space, and assist steering wheel control according to the lane lines on the left and right sides or following the lead vehicle. Automated Lane Change Assist can be activated as well.
- Before continuing, is one of these truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
- Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!
The indicators are seen in four colors as a dial or speedometer with a steering wheel above it. The four colors are used as follows: In black and white, the system is ready; in gray, a malfunction is indicated; green indicates that the system has been enabled; and a green dial and yellow/amber/orange steering is seen, steering control has not been enabled.
