Note that if you are surprised to see one of these it is likely a drive mode has been accidently activated via one of the buttons on the steering wheel.

Snow Mode IndicatorCustom mode indicatorSome traditional drive mode indicators that have been in use for some time include Snow mode and Custom mode. They are relatively self explanatory, although Custom mode involves choosing various suspension, steering and handling settings.

Text warningsRange mode indicatorEco mode and Range mode are used when fuel efficiency is prioritized. Range in particular is applied primarily to hybrid models, where the high-voltage battery use is optimized for long duration.

ECO modeComfort mode indicatorCustom modeThese are essentially repeats of previously used indicators, but are shown in black and white. Black and white images are becoming a standard with use of information screens in instrument panels. Comfort modes also include the choosing of driving parameters.

Sport mode indicatorSport s modeSport s+ modeIn some models, Lexus offers Sport modes in various flavors, Sport, Sport S and Sport S+, each with increasing levels of suspension stiffness and handling responsiveness.

Expert modeCustom modeNormal modeLexus is wrapping the side of the digital speedometer with drive mode indicators, in truth, too many for the average driver to wrap their heads around much less their speedometers. Given that they are in text, they can be easily understood.

If you’re seeing one you don’t expect, check the manual for where it can be changed. These are all in shades of black and white.
