Suzuki drive mode indicators

Suzuki logoDrive Modes

This page holds Suzuki Drive Mode Indicator symbols. The list of drive modes on our original page grew so large it became apparent that separate manufacturer pages would be appropriate. Suzuki has not added many to the pile to date, but it still gets its own page.

Note that if you are surprised to see one of these it is likely a drive mode has been accidently activated via one of the buttons on the steering wheel or center console.

S mode indicatorThis is an S-Mode or Sport mode indicator. Suzuki‘s description of the handling results when in use make it seem more like a Comfort mode. In any case, the company says “when in use and driving on hilly, winding roads and allows for smoother driving with less frequent gear changing. Also, when going down a steep hill some additional engine braking is added.”

Eco (economy) Operation Indicator SymbolThis is an ECO operation or Economy operation indicator. It is not a drive mode per-se. With the push to improve fuel mileage, vehicles from many manufacturers, including Suzuki, will tell you when you are operating your vehicle economically and even aide in the effort.

There may be a gauge of sorts also shown in the information screen. Step hard on the accelerator to pass another vehicle, for example, and this light will go out. There is more here.
