New Volvo owners video added to our YouTube channel

We’ve just uploaded a video to our YouTube channel that demonstrates opening a starting Volvo XC40, C40, EC40, and EX40 models from 2019 through at least 2026. The process covers gas, mild hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) versions.

The models look very, very similar Volvo has run through a series of names while creating the gas, hybrid and EV versions. Fortunately, the number 40 is what they have in common and share the same back-up or emergency open and start process.

Processes like the ones demonstrated are necessary in keyless start models when the battery in the key fob dies or in the event of electrical interference.

For many years, Volvo models have featured a key fob that has its buttons on the side. The fob holds the needed mechanical key inside the fob which needs to be opened. We start with that process.

Cars are changing, and among those changes is the growing number of symbols and indicators that will invariably show up on your dashboard or instrument panel. Every year, new features are added to vehicles, each of which is accompanied by a new symbol or symbols and likely a new abbreviation or acronym.

At DashboardSymbols.com, our aim is to help you understand what is happening to your vehicle at the first sign of trouble — a new warning light illuminated on your instrument panel. Its all here on this website. Our first intention is to bring the latest technologies down to earth and understandable for everyday drivers.

The new video can be seen below or on our Volvo video page.

Technology is always changing and what is current and accurate today may be literally out-of-date and inaccurate tomorrow. And when it comes to the current state of flux in the auto industry, nothing is more true.
