This is a Rear Camera Detection (RCD) OffIndicatorsymbol. When seen it indicates that the rear camera is unavailable. If a buzzer is heard as well, it indicates a malfunction in the camera. A qualified service shop or your dealer will be needed. If a buzzer is not heard, it likely means the camera is dirty. Clean it, or the whole car!

These are Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) Indicatorsymbols. These images will appear in a vehicle’s information display in gray scale or yellow/amber/orange. It is either the image of a car inside two straight lines as well as curved lines radiating from the front and the rear corners of the car. It looks nearly boxed in. The first symbol in yellow/amber/orange has a letter P in a box with lines radiating from it in all directions. The system in this case is being used for park assistance, with the lines in the corners illuminating if an obstacle is detected. The last two lights in yellow/amber/orange and red each have an exclamation point in the image indicating a fault in the system.
Before moving on, are you sure one of these is your symbol?? If yes, then continue on below.
These versions, called by the manufacturer Safety Support Indicators, is seen as a vehicle from above inside a circle, also in yellow/amber if one of the systems noted below is not functioning properly. The circle represents that the vehicle is protected all around from all sides. It may be seen in gray scale as well in the information display. The trouble may be as simple as snow and ice accumulated on or near the sonar sensors. In green, the system is up and running properly.
This version is also an outline of a car inside a circle, but appears in gray scale. The manufacturer in this case has the indicator appear when one of nearly a dozen assist system options is turned off. It is thus there to alert the driver to that fact.
This symbol is connected to a version called a Travel Assist System. It will be seen in green when activated, but will be seen in yellow/amber if a fault occurs. In this instance, the system will not engage or will be deactivated. If it is seen in gray scale, it is inactive, but not due to a fault. The system is lying in wait. When active, its primary function is maintain control of the vehicle in highway driving conditions as an advanced Adaptive Cruise Control System.
Finally, this image will be seen in green if the driver assist system is active, or in gray if the system has been interrupted. This is not likely a fault situation, but rather due to the application of the brakes or a sensor blocked by debris. The assist system may come back on its own if the sensors clear, but will need to be re-engaged if the brakes have been applied.

These are Check Gauges Indicatorsymbols. If you see it, check the oil pressure and temperature gauges to make sure that they are reading properly or reading at all. They exist to ensure the vehicle’s engine is operating under the proper conditions.
Before moving on, are you sure this is your symbol?? If yes, then continue on below.
The picture symbol looks like a gauge or dial with a pointer. The other is a text message that simply states CHECK GAGES, misspelled. They are effectively used in lieu of separate temperature and oil pressure warning lights.

These are Steering and Lane Change Assist Alert Indicatorsymbols. It will be displayed when hands are not in contact with the steering wheel. If this is the case, steering assist is then disabled. It appears as a steering wheel in gray scale or red.
Before moving on, are you sure this is your symbol??
It may also appear with two hands shown in red, green or white. The image of the steering wheel may also be shown in green and yellow/amber/orange under the appropriate conditions, without the hands. Red hands are a warning that the systems is unavailable and requires driver control. White is a standby more while green indicates the system is operating properly.
Steering assist helps to keep the vehicle in its lane and otherwise under control. However, the driver’s hands are to remain on the wheel. When steering wheel operation is detected, the warning is turned off and the steering assist function is restored.
Alternatively, the light may be activated when conditions for steering assist cannot be met. In this case when when steering wheel operation is detected steering assist remains deactivated.
More Assist Symbols
This pair from another manufacturer, seen in green and gray, offer a different perspective. In green, the symbol simply means the system is active. If it is displayed in gray, it means the system is inactive. This can occur if conditions do not allow lane keeping, such as when lane lines are not detected or poor weather conditions.
Similarly from yet another manufacturer, the symbol in gray indicates the system is active. The same symbol in red indicates that the system is off or about to be switched off. Yellow/amber indicates that the system is about to be deactivated or has detected a lane crossing. The wheel may vibrate as well. It should be noted that this particular system takes a more active role in steering the vehicle.
The system adds Lane Change Assist to Steering Assist. The system has control of the wheel. The symbols are seen in gray when unavailable or green when available and uses an arrow or line on the side required, in response to a turn signal.
The line indicates that a lane change is not currently possible. The arrow in gray means that a lane change is not possible, because of improper parameters, such as poor lane markings. The line in gray means that the lane change is not immediately possibly, likely a traffic concern. In all green, the system changes lanes.
Another manufacturer uses the images to the left. The first, in red, is a warning that the car has detected a drowsy driver and that he/she must take the wheel. The second, in yellow/amber/orange, says only that the Steering Assist System is active. The third indicates that the system is off.

This is a Intelligent Lane Intervention Indicatorsymbol. It is represented as a circle in a circle, or oval, with the image of a car in the center seen from overhead. The circles are radiating outward indicating the detection of lane markers in the roadway.
Before moving on, are you sure this is your symbol??
The system operates when the vehicle is driven at speeds over 45 mph, and only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road. The system will make small steering corrections keeping the vehicle in its lane.

This is an Audio System Fault Indicatorsymbol. It indicates that the vehicle’s sound system has failed and needs the help of a qualified service shop. The fact that there is likely no sound coming from the speakers is likely more that enough to alert the driver to a problem, but the indicator puts any question to rest. The image is that of a speaker with an exclamation point next to it.
Before moving on, are you sure one of these is your symbol (see more below)??
