Trail one pedal drive indicators

One pedal drive

Trail one pedal drive indicatorTrail one pedal drive indicatorThese are Trail One Pedal Drive indicator symbols. The system is found on some new (2024) Ford off-road vehicles and allows the driver to accelerate and brake using only the accelerator pedal. The vehicles are gasoline powered and are not related to one pedal driving systems found in electric vehicles (EVs) (below).

  • Before moving on, is one of these truly your symbol??
  • If not, you can return to our main Pictographic Symbols page and scan again!

When trail one pedal drive is active, the image displays green on the instrument panel. When the system is switched on but is unavailable or on standby, it is seen in grey. When active and the driver releases the accelerator, the brakes automatically engage, which can bring the vehicle to a stop. Actual brake pedal use may be needed in some cases.

The system can only be used on slippery or loose surfaces. Using it on dry, hard surfaces could produce vibrations, bind up the driveline and cause excessive vehicle and tire wear.

ECO Coach Dashboard Indicators

ECO Coach

ECO Coach pressed indicatorECO coach not pressed indicatorThese are ECO Coach Indicator symbols. The are displayed as a means of coaching the driver to operate the vehicle more economically. The feature automatically activates when the ECO driving program or mode is selected. The first image shows the foot or shoe pressed on the accelerator and the second, the not pressed symbol, shows the foot or removed from the pedal. The arrow remains pointing up regardless.

  • But first, is this truly your symbol?? If yes, continue on below.
  • Otherwise return to our main Picture Symbols page and scan again!

The ECO coach feature predicts the road ahead and advises when it is possible to lift off of the accelerator pedal in order to save fuel. The feature displays icons in the instrument panel to advise the driver of situations ahead that may allow the accelerator pedal to be released. The icons show a speed limit change, an upcoming downhill gradient, a junction or crossroads, a traffic island, and right or left bends in the road. The ECO coach pedal not pressed lamp illuminates green to advise the driver when it is possible to lift off of the accelerator pedal.
