Maneuver assist

These are Maneuver Assist Indicator symbols. The system is essentially a Parking Assist System from Audi. We will immediately note that seen in yellow/amber/orange, the indication is a fault in the system. Most common causes are blocked sensors due to dirt, etc. Clean the sensors or the car before getting an expensive service.

  • Before continuing, is one of these truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
  • Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!

The other two are in white, primarily. The line through indicates the system temporarily deactivated. If it is seen in gray, maneuver assist is simply unavailable. From here it gets more complicated.

A white border around the car indicates the area is free of obstacles. If a red border appears, an obstacle has been detected.

Maneuver assist supports parking by monitoring the area in front, behind and on the sides using sensors. The system will intervene by applying the brakes to prevent a collision. Continuing to drive in the direction of the obstacle after braking will shut down maneuver assist.

Objects about eight inches tall and taller can be detected.
