Vehicle status

These are Vehicle Status Indicator symbols used by Volvo. If it is seen in red, there is at least one critical level notification in the vehicle status view. In yellow/amber/orange the symbol indicates that there is an important vehicle status notification. In either case, go to the vehicle status view to see what the issue is and resolve it as soon as possible.

  • Before continuing, is one of these truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
  • Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!

The indicators are a part of Volvo‘s Pilot Assist, which relies on the accurate detection and identification of surrounding traffic and road conditions. Some vehicle faults can affect the availability of driver support features. The vehicle status view will tell a driver if there are any indicated issues.

Detection systems include information from cameras, radar units and other sensors. The detection system cannot handle all driving, traffic, weather or road conditions. Refer to the owner’s manual under detection types, how they work and their limitations to better understand how Pilot Assist’s performance can be affected.
