Chrysler symbols update nets seven new entries

Chrysler symbols

A review of Chrysler symbols used in the company’s two models — the Pacifica and Voyager minivans — netted a total of but seven new additions to the dashboard symbols and indicators page. And none are actually new, a true rarity!

A surprise is the change to a red Electronic Throttle Control indicator. The company already uses a yellow/amber/orange version and there is no change in the cause for the warning light or suggestions for response.

Regardless of the color of the fault light, a restart is recommended as it is an electronic system. If the light does not resolve and the vehicle seems to be running normally, it can be driven. Clearly the issue would eventually need to be addressed.

If the light flashes or the vehicle runs badly, roadside assistance will be needed.

The EV version of the Pacifica now uses the Power Limitation indicators in the same two colors. In red, warning light indicates a reduction in engine or electric motor performance which will require service if it stays on. In yellow/amber/orange, it indicates a power reduction due to a low charge issue in the high voltage battery.
