Swivel seat position or fault indicators

Swivel seat

These are Swivel Seat Position or Fault indicator symbols. The first, in yellow/amber/orange, will be seen if a fault is present in the system and it is not possible to check the correct position of the seats. The second, in red, will be seen if one or both of the seats are not locked in the forward facing position.

  • Before continuing, is one of these truly your symbol?? If yes, read on below.
  • Otherwise, you can return to our main Manufacturer Symbols pages and scan again!

These symbols are found in Ram ProMaster vehicles. The front seats may be turned through 180° toward the seat on the opposite side and approximately 35° toward the door. The seat may be locked in the driving position or at the 180° position.

If a fault is present and the vehicle cannot check the correct position of the swivel seats, check the status of the swivel seats and do not drive the vehicle until the seats are locked in the facing forward position.

If the system is working properly and one or both of the swivel seats are not locked in the forward facing position, it will not be possible to operate the vehicle.

Technology is always changing and what is current and accurate today may be literally out-of-date and inaccurate tomorrow. And when it comes to the current state of flux in the auto industry, nothing is more true.
