Big symbols update for Ford is finished — at last

We’ve been working on a Ford dashboard symbols update for Ford for several weeks and it is finally finished.

In total, we added 34 indicators to the page, with a full 22 actually new to our database.

Way too many of them are drive mode indicators. The Ford symbol page now holds nearly 200 warning lights and indicators, 30 of which are drive mode indicators, over 15% of the total!

For instance, the four symbols to the right are connected only to the Mustang GTD, two of which features the Mustang logo. Unfortunately, other than the racing lights image, the images are no help in understanding their meaning.

It required a change in the G.O.A.T. mode page, but at least did not require creating additional images. G.O.A.T. stands for Goes Over Any-type of Terrain.

The Ford dashboard symbols page and its 192 entries can be seen here.

Technology is always changing and what is current and accurate today may be literally out-of-date and inaccurate tomorrow. And when it comes to the current state of flux in the auto industry, nothing is more true.
