After literally spending weeks updating Audi‘s dashboard symbols page, the update of the Tesla symbols page took less than a full day.
We added but six symbols which required only three new versions. Other than an odd regeneration image, these were primarily color changes. The page now holds but 41 symbols and indictors. You may recall we added nearly twice this number (81) to the Audi page!
The green symbol to the right is a Regeneration Limited indicator. We find it odd because Tesla opted to use a green indicator for what is essentially a problem. They site cold weather as a reason, but those noted above would come in to play as well. It uses a lightning bolt inside a circle that represents the amount of regeneration occurring.
The lack of symbols is due in no small part to the fact that the Model 3 and Y as well as the Cybertruck lack a traditional instrument panel. Of course, lacking a gas engine and transmission etc. etc. is at play here as well.
In those models lacking an instrument panel a detected problem is communicated in a popup message at the bottom of the touchscreen. The Master warning light, in red or yellow/amber/orange will be to the far left (right). Red will point to a more serious concern.
Thus, the master warning light is truly the only traditional warning light used in these models.
