Hybrid Ready Indicator Symbols

These are Hybrid Ready Indicator symbols. These indicators effectively tell a driver when a hybrid vehicle will respond to the accelerator. This is a replacement of sorts for the sound of a running gasoline engine, since in many cases, the gasoline engine will not be needed on start up.

This symbol is similar to the first one above, with and added letter ‘S’ and a plus (+) sign. It indicates that the vehicle is ready as well as being in Sport mode. Click here for more.

The vehicle’s Ready indicator can be activated when the key fob is present, the vehicle is in park and the start or power button is pushed when the brake pedal is depressed. Cold weather may slow the appearance of the indicator.
