Unnecessary indicators added to the Audi symbols page

So today we added six more indicators to the Audi symbols page including a green rear belt indicator, a steering lock indicator and and engine start malfunction indicator.

But what we really wanted to talk about is three emergency assist indicators in two colors. Not only that, but the first two  symbols are identical in that they point to exactly the same thing. A malfunction!

And for the record, the symbol with the line through looks more like a malfunction indicator to us! But its not…

We alluded to this in a post yesterday, where it simply seems that Audi is hell bent on duplicating each symbol in every available color. The steering lock and engine start symbols simply added a red indicator to the already existing yellow/amber/orange indicator. Why?

Is one really more serious than the other? If my steering wheel is locked, I don’t need the color of an indicator to tell me I have problem or how serious it is.

And I simply don’t believe anyone else needs this either.

And a seat belt indicator in green?? Actually in truth, I can see a benefit to this one, being that this is from a rear seat where a driver needs to know …
