You were trying to be nice, but this is a very dangerous move

Dangerous move

To the driver trying to give me a break in heavy traffic, think you, but it was a very dangerous move. And I ultimately took advantage of it.

Let me explain, with words and pictures.

I was waiting to make a left hand turn in surprising heavy late evening traffic, when an oncoming vehicle decided to stop, flash their lights and wait for me to turn.

Unfortunately, it is a four lane road, and it was impossible to see the other lane, which, to that point had been just as busy as the other.

I waited a bit and the driver flashed their lights again. So I snuck through in front and saw just enough space to get though, as you can see in the video below.

Honestly, I appreciated the intent as I’m sure all would, but without controlling the second lane, its simply not a helpful move and potentially a very, very dangerous one.

And if its you waiting to make the turn, be very, very careful if you decide to take advantage,

Otherwise, and maybe best-wise, the waiting driver should simply be patient…
