New video added for drivers of older Mini model

Older Mini model.

A friend had a key fob for an older Mini model that lacked a battery at all. We were given the opportunity to make a video opening and starting the car with the battery-less fob. And it worked.

It provides further proof that the emergency or back-up open and start procedures work when key fob batteries die.

These models feature a start/stop button with an ignition lock alongside, both behind the steering wheel. In models with comfort access, the ignition lock is required unless the model is equipped with comfort access. Then the lock is unnecessary to start the vehicle and the vehicle can be opened with the touch of a button on the door handle.
