Lexus symbols

A full review of Lexus symbols for 2026 models adds but four new entries, all related to differential lock functions.

The page now features nearly 150 indicators and warning lights. The company was the first to exceed 100 on the page and 50 on a single vehicle!

The primary reason for Lexus using so many symbols is reflected in the very additions we had to make for the LX600 model. It now uses six different differential lock indicators with overlapping functions.

The symbols to the right and above are malfunction indicators. There is one each for the front, rear and center differentials. They feature an X inside the stick axel figure. The indicator will flash to point out a malfunction.

The second set replaces the X with a padlock in the same front, rear and center positions and will be seen when the given lock is engaged. The indicator will flash as the lock or unlock operation is underway and will remain on so long as the given differential remains locked. They appear in black and white on the information screen.

However, the same symbols will flash if a problem is detected, resulting in a function overlap with the first set! Just like Lexus

The page with the nearly 150 Lexus symbols and indicators can be seen here.
