Lucid now has its own emergency open and start page

Emergency open and start.

We sat on this for some time and for no very good reason, but made Lucid its own back-up or emergency open and start page. It includes all available options to get in and get started in the event that the battery in the key fob dies.

Radio interference can also cause a key fob to fail to open and start a keyless start vehicle.

Lucid key fobs don’t include a mechanical key. The company has their customers rely on key cards they supply and/or a smart phone app as back-up.

Both Lucid Air (above) and Gravity (right) models have a spot on the pillar post between the front and back doors. The spot on the Gravity is marked, but both are in similar locations.

Starting the vehicles are another story. After using the key card to get in Air models, a profile pin will have to be inputted to enable driving. The pin can be entered via the Pilot Panel after stepping on the brake pedal.

With Gravity models, tap the Lucid key card near the bottom of the wireless charging pad over the charging symbol.

We see no reason why this couldn’t at least be tried in an Air model as well! We will if an opportunity arises…

The Lucid emergency open and start page can be seen here. Next up is a symbols page for the company.
