Symbols update.

A Suzuki symbols update for 2026 has been completed. A total of 13 warning lights and indicators were added to the Suzuki page, seven of which are new to our database.

There are now nearly 100 symbols on the page. And there could have been more, but more on that later.

Among the additions were the first red and yellow/amber/orange combinations. That is, a symbol might not appear initially as red until a problem becomes more serious. In this group are brake and transmission warnings (right).

Also added are a Suzuki Connect Malfunction Warning and a CNG Malfunction Warning (right). Both of these resulted in their own pages as they were new to our database. In fact, while other manufacturers offer connection services, Suzuki is the first we are aware of to include a warning indicator.

Further, CNG, or compressed natural gas, is not used in North America.

Most surprising was how the company handles rear seat belt warnings. We already had three versions on the page, which has now grown to five. We honestly ignored three more.

The two shown to the right we felt were representative enough to make the point. The symbols may show up primarily in red to point out which seat is not buckled in, or in gray scale with a white dot not buckled. Also, there may only be a single row, depending on the vehicle. In addition, the word REAR may appear to the left of the buckled individual.

The resulting page and its 98 entries can be seen here.

We are not in the auto repair business, nor do we publish automotive service manuals. Nothing we include on these pages and posts has been reviewed, approved or authorized by any vehicle manufacturer.

Remember — only proper service and repair procedures will ensure the safe and reliable operation of your car. In addition, proper safety procedures and precautions, such as the use of safety goggles, the right tools and the equipment should be followed at all times to eliminate the possibility of personal injury or improper service which could damage the vehicle or compromise its safety.

Technology is always changing and what is current and accurate today may be literally out-of-date and inaccurate tomorrow. And when it comes to the current state of flux in the auto industry, nothing is more true.
