Opel symbols update results in 16 new entries

Opel symbols.

An update of Opel symbols in 2026 models found an additional 16 indicators and symbols. Seven of the images are new to our database. The page now holds nearly 160 entries.

Two indicators required complete new entries. The company uses something called Automatic Electric Park Brake Off. The indicator are seen as the circle in brackets, which is the common overall image used for brakes. The capital letter P in the center is used for park brake and the word off is added beneath, all in yellow/amber/orange.

Electric park brakes deploy automatically by default, so it is likely that a fault in the system has been detected. If this is the case, the park brake can and should be operated manually. It can be deactivated in special circumstances.

The second is a Fuel Cell System Fault indicator, which would likely be displayed with a wrench (spanner) symbol. It appears as a vehicle with H2 (for hydrogen) above and an exclamation point behind it.

Other new entries are an added H2 leak indicator, another speed limiter indicator, making a total of four used in various models, and three new indicators for the company’s Advanced Lane Keeping system.
