Hydrogen Leak

These are Hydrogen Leak Indicator symbols. The indicators will be seen briefly on start up, but if it is seen while driving, they are telling you that a hydrogen gas leak is detected. H2 is the chemical term for hydrogen gas. The first one will be seen in yellow/amber/orange.

The first symbol with the simple H2 is used by Honda Motors Corp. and Toyota Motors Corp. In Europe, Opel also supplies hydrogen powered cars and uses the red triangle symbol surrounding the H2.

Among the problems that will be registered immediately in the vehicle is a loss of acceleration and power.  Generating electricity by the fuel cell is also stopped. Immediately stop in a safe place.

The vehicle will need to be checked by a qualified repair shop, and under the circumstances the original dealer may be required.
