This is a Laser Lights Indicator symbol. If properly implemented, the laser lights switch on shortly after the LED high beams are switched on, if the vehicle is traveling at or above 44 mph. The indicator light will then be seen. Laser headlight technology is illegal in the United States.

To function, the AUTO light option must be set and the high beam assistant and the laser lights must be switched on. The laser lights increase the range of the headlights. An additional module integrated in the headlight converts blue laser light into white light using luminescent material.

The headlight contains a class 4 laser. The light is converted so that there is no danger when used as intended. However, due to the dangerous nature of lasers, only an Audi service facility can perform repairs on the headlights.
